The solutions tested to ensure that the new manifold was not subject to vibrations were different and the research work carried out led to some important results, including the choice of adding the second joint.
First of all, the greater freedom of the system: the presence of the second joint divides the body of the exhaust, which is no longer unique and rigid. In this way, the transfer of vibrations from the engine to the exhaust itself are interrupted.
A freer system and absent vibrations reduce the load on the collector, created by weight and accelerations of the exhaust.
